The axe has fallen. Curfew has rung. David Tennant is leaving Doctor Who. Music cue:
Okay, maybe it isn't. But damn...
(This YouTube video is the work of Marlene Steinberg of California, who is obviously very creative and clever. And possibly somewhat disturbed. As am I, at the moment...)

I'm feeling better about letting go of him being the Doctor than I was in the summer (when really, seriously I was horrified at how unready I was for him to leave). Now, I'm sad, and I'll miss him, but he's so much more than just The Doctor and the role is so much more than just him.
Does that mean I won't miss him like a limb?
No a bit: a part of my love for DW will always be what he bought to the role.
i have decided this is my last Doctor... i have loved him truly, madly and deeply. (i also love DT, but can only deal with one moment of madness at a time).
i am going out now to a place where the willows hang low, and gather rue and rosemary and brambles and lay me down...
oh gadss!
Lisa, what I want to know is: does this mean Rob will stop "Sitting Tennant" at his web site? Because I'm bereft enough as it is... (Doncha love how the press is carrying on as if DT died? The news articles sound like obituaries.)
b.a.b., okay, but wear a flotation device, willya? 'Cuz you know those wet garments can really drag you down... (I think I'll hang on with Doctor Who for Steven Moffat's sake. Unless they cast someone I can't bear. But I really don't think Keanu Reeves is eligible.)
Bonnie's having an Ophelia moment but am sure she will be fine - rosemary for remembrance...
I can't see how Rob will DARE to drop Sitting Tennant: let's be campaigning for its longevity!
(And yes, it is almost like reading obits: poor boy! and it was such a lovely speech he gave at the awards, and he was SO cute in the BBC interview... and boy, did the stage door awards acceptance speech show how hawt he looks as Hamlet...
*fans self*
Am gutted but I'll cope: I was SO not ready in the summer, but this I can (just) about cope with ---
*sob*
I am sooooo late to this. I was away and missed it! Damn. Damn. Damn. And your song is not too much, no dearie me. It is wildly appropriate.
We'll carry on watching cos of the kids (although given they don't now want to watch Robin Hood without Marian in I don't know HOW they'll cope without DT)...
nope... sorry... i know everyone says i'll be okay and i'll get over it and all that... but no. the only flotation device i'm going to use after 2009 is a daily bottle of cabernet...
Oh dear, b.a.b, maybe Blackpool will finally be released in Region One format by 2010. (Or maybe we'll have a universal DVD-player by then...)
i've had Blackpool for more than a year because i have a region-free dvd player and went on a mad purchasing spree on Amazon.UK... i've pretty much got everything DT has made that is available: Asylum, Blackpool, Casanova, LA Without a Map... i have Einstein and Eddington on pre-order. but really, nothing will makeup for Doctor Who. nothing.
i'm laying down now with a cold cloth and tranquilizers. and the remote in hand as i watch last seasons' DW ... again.
